Our Shipping & Returns information here applies only to purchases made through our Alx&Co. online boutique. If you are working with us on a repair, custom design project, or other purchase through our physical location, please ask us for more information.
All Alx&Co. online purchases are shipped via USPS or UPS. Because of the value of the goods inside, the package must be signed for upon delivery.
USPS 2-Day Priority Mail — $9.60 flat rate
UPS Overnight (Insured by Parcel Pro) – $27 flat rate
Pickup from Alx&Co. — If you prefer to pick up your purchase directly from our 121 South Royal location, please select that option upon checkout and we will notify you when your item is ready. Because we have a Virginia storefront, we are required to pay Virginia sales tax on all items picked up from our shop. Unfortunately, our e-commerce platform's checkout options don't enable us to charge the required 6% sales tax to items billed to states outside of Virginia which are selected for pick-up in our store. You will see on your invoice whether you were charged sales tax, and if you weren't, we will need to separately process this charge when you pick up the item. We appreciate your patience with this while we work on a better solution.
Easy Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be 100% thrilled with your Alx&Co. purchase. If you aren't fully pleased with what we made, we have two solutions:
1) Can we fix it? We will happily re-size, change the finish, or re-plate our Alx&Co. jewelry to make it just right. Send us an email at email@example.com and we will send you a shipping label and a form to complete so that we know what to expect.
2) Is it just not what you wanted? We will provide a full refund for any item purchased through our Alx&Co. shop, minus the cost of shipping the item to you. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a shipping label.
If you are local, feel free to come by our shop as well and we can talk it through in person. We love visitors!
