Entry-Level Bench Jeweler

We are searching for a talented entry-level bench jeweler to join our team!

Onboard with a small team consisting of two experienced bench jewelers, a strong administrative squad, and three design leads. You will work under the lead direction of our primary bench jeweler who has been with our team for three years. The business is owner-operated.

The right candidate will have experience working with gold, platinum, palladium, and and sterling silver; he or she or they will have experience working with casted materials and preparing them for setting; and the right candidate will be interested in learning new techniques and sharing their own knowledge with the team.

Primary responsibilities will include prepping castings for setting, cleaning and checking pieces, performing basic sizing requests, and other discrete tasks. This is the ideal position for someone who has completed formal jewelry training and/or has had experience as an apprentice in a jewelry workshop.

Key requirements of the right candidate:

  • Experience working with castings in the preparation stage

  • Reliability - we can be flexible on the schedule, but your schedule must be reliable

  • A problem-solving approach to work - the basis of our work is custom design, so each piece you work on will be unique and bring its own challenges and parameters

  • Detail-oriented - the right candidate will work conscientiously and pay attention to small details such as prong style, band profile, and other design elements per instructions for each piece

Full time and part time availability will be considered.

Compensation:

Hourly Salary - $15-25 per hour, commensurate with experience

Benefits - we offer health insurance to all employees, participation in our SEP IRA program after one year of employment, paid parking (though we are accessible by bus and metro so a car is not needed for the job), PTO plus paid holidays, discounted employee purchases
